With regard to 'not being able to see our site, we use the following initial process...
If we ever get a complaint - i.e. - "I can't see your site - I can't see my site" we initially use an independent service based in the US - this allows us to use their DNS and get a view from the outside - so to speak over http.
If the site you want is unavailable you would get a message like this:
(www.connect.ie)
Web Site Unreachable.
The web site you tried to access could not be reached. The site may be down for maintenance or because of technical difficulties.
Common reasons for receiving this error are:
Make sure that you have uploaded your pages under the htdocs folder
Misspelling the name of the web site.
Indicating an incorrect protocol (e.g., trying to connect using HTTPS rather than HTTP, or vice versa).
Network outages between our proxy and the desired site.
Go to:http://www.guardster.com/subscription/proxy_free.php and type in the domain name you require to test or reach
If the web site appears, then it can be seen on the net
Please test from your site and then you will have an independent view/confirmation to discuss with us.
