OUR Mail Server Settings

SMTP Mail Server: (Outgoing Mail) = mail.connect.ie

POP Mail Server:(Incoming Mail) = mail.connect.ie

Netscape Communicator Mail (Netscape 4.0)

1. Load Netscape.
2. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
3. Click on the + next to Mail & Newsgroups.
4. Click on Identity.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Fill in the Your Name field.
6. Fill in the Email address field.
7. Click on Mail Servers.
   
   
   
   
   
8. Fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field with mail.connect.ie
9. For “Outgoing mail server user name”, make sure that your Connect.ie username is entered.
10. Click the Add button
    
    
    
    
    
11. Fill in the Incoming mail (POP3) server fields with mail.connect.ie
12. Mail Server type should be set to POP3
13. Fill in the Mail server user name field with your Connect.ie email address
14. Check Remember mail password.
15. Click the POP tab
    
    
    
    
    
16. Uncheck the box that says “Leave messages on server”
17. Click OK.
18. Click OK.

Updating Netscape Communicator Mail

1. Load Netscape.
2. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
3. Click on the + next to Mail & Newsgroups.
4. Click on Identity.
   
   
   
   
   
5. Fill in the Your Name field.
6. Fill in the Email address field.
7. Click on Mail Servers.
   
   
   
   
   
8. In the Incoming Mail Servers list, select mail.connect.ie and click edit.
9. Verify that the Mail server field shows mail.connect.ie and that Server Type is POP3 Server. The User Name field should be your email address, but replacing the @ with $, as shown below. (Make sure you use your username$connect.ie)
   
   
   
   
   
10. Check Remember mail password.
11. Click OK.
12. Click OK.
