Removing RAS

Click the Start button, point to Settings, and choose Control Panel.

Double-click the Network icon.

Select the Services tab.

Select Remote Access Service.

Click the Remove button.

Click the Yes button.

Click the Close button.

Click the Yes button to restart your computer.

Adding RAS

Click the Start button, point to Settings, and choose Control Panel.

Double-click the Network icon.

Select the Services tab.

Click the Add button.

From the list of Network services, select Remote Access Service.

Click the OK button.

You may be promted for your Windows NT CD-ROM.

Make sure the path to the i386 directory on the CD is correct.

Click the Continue button.

From the RAS Capable Devices drop-down list, choose your modem.

Click the OK button.

Click the Configure button.

Select Dial out only.

Click the Network button.

Uncheck NetBEUI.

Check TCP/IP.

Uncheck IPX.
